COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT FROM THE FAMILY AND STAFF AT BLACKTHORNE
We are happy to announce that the Blackthorne Resort is still open for reservations. At this time we can rent rooms to our guests with meals available in take-out form only. We are making every effort to ensure that we can still offer our guests the wide selection and quality of food that they have become accustomed to over their years here with us, just in a different form of dining. We are taking all precautions in order to make sure your rooms are sanitized according to CDC Guidelines and up to the highest standards of cleanliness. In an effort to streamline the check-in process and allow our customers the option of no contact we have created an over the phone check in procedure that we are now offering guests, just call the office and let them know you would like to exercise this option!
Our pool bar is open daily from noon – 7 pm for take-away food and drink. Unfortunately, though we are unable to offer some of our amenities at this time: Pool, Bar, Indoor dining, and Arcade are among those temporarily unavailable to guests. We will update as the restrictions are lifted and we are making every effort to ensure that we offer as much to you all as we can, as soon as possible.
Gatherings of more than 10 people are not permitted. Social distancing is still the name of the game. Guests are urged to remain 6 feet apart from anyone who isn’t a family member. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to that time when we can all be together!
The Handel family is monitoring the Covid-19 situation vigilantly. As the environment around novel coronavirus continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety and reservation needs. Our guests and staff remain our highest priority. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures in accordance with CDC guidelines to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous. Staff is instructed to practice frequent hand washing and sanitized frequently touched surfaces. Staff will also be wearing masks and gloves to serve guests. Guests are advised to practice physical distancing practices and reduce person-to-person contact of guests not in their party. All guests are required to sign a COVID-19 Liability waiver just as a precaution.
